Fleeting Thoughts: Mr. Henderson's 3AM explores the events of a restless
nocturnal mind-non-sequiturs both wacky and tender, hilarious and profound.
A kinetic painting of extreme time and space relationships, language that
hovers just under meaning, and vocalizations that travel well beyond
established boundaries. Composer Joan La Barbara's unique vocabulary of
experimental and extended vocal techniques: multi-phonics, circular singing,
ululation and glottal clicks, bridge the line between text and song.

“A marvelously multidisciplinary work. Six exceptionally versatile performers dance its quirky choreography sometimes in silence, but often to the accompaniment of their own complex vocalizations…every moment is pristinely executed and beautifully timed, yet the movement vocabulary exudes a sense of freedom and effusiveness” -BACKSTAGE |
