Cori Marquis  is a New York City-based choreographer, dancer, and teacher. Under the name Cori Marquis + the Nines [IX], her work has been presented at numerous venues in California, Massachusetts, Arizona, Oregon, Connecticut, Michigan, and New York. Marquis was an artist-in-residence at Fourth Arts Block/The Standard (2015), Duo Multicultural Arts Center (2012), Chen Dance Center (2011), and the Bessie Schönberg Fellow at The Yard, Martha’s Vineyard (2014). Cori is currently in collaboration with Deborah Lohse and Donnell Oakley as the trio, LMnO3. Their first evening length work, B.A.N.G.S.: made in america, commissioned by DanceNow for Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater, will go on the road Spring/Summer 2016 to the American Dance Festival, The Yard, and Ringling International Arts Festival. Cori currently dances with Guggenheim Fellows and Bessie Award-winning choreographers Doug Elkins (since 2010) and Jane Comfort & Company (2015).
