Gabrielle Revlock is a performer/dance-maker, splitting her time between Philadelphia and New York. She was a 2014 Fresh Tracks resident and a 2013 Pew Center grantee. She received a Rocky Award for her signature piece Halo, performed with a hula hoop, which premiered at the Korzo Theater in The Netherlands. Currently, her work is supported by an Independence Foundation Fellowship to work with acclaimed experimental theater company Nature Theater of Oklahoma. Her duo work with Nicole Bindler has been called “poignant, wild, hilarious, and generous” (Culturebot), and conquered the 2011 A.W.A.R.D. Show: Philadelphia by terminating the contest and winning a finalist prize. Her work has been presented across the US and beyond, Seattle to Washington DC, Tokyo to Yekaterinburg and many places in between. An active performer, she has danced for Lucinda Childs, Susan Rethorst, Christopher Williams, Mark Dendy, Lisa Kraus, Leah Stein, Willi Dorner and Matthew Neenan for the Opera Company of Philadelphia.
