ToshiReagon_bio Toshi Reagon is a New York-based singer/songwriter. She composed music for Urban Bush Women’s national tour of Bones and Ash and collaborated with Jane Comfort on Asphalt and Underground River. Her latest recording is Toshi. Born in Atlanta and raised in Washington, Toshi is the daughter of Bernice Johnson Reagon, founder of Sweet Honey in the Rock. The New York Times calls Toshi “one of the most compelling performers on the modern rock scene.” Toshi’s music defies boundaries and can fit comfortably on a stage with any of the Lilith artists, at Carnegie Hall or in a dirty rock club, and expresses a deeply felt political consciousness. “From where you are, from who you are in your everyday life, that’s where you make change…Whatever your gig is, make change through your strength.”
